Build and Edit Your Faculty Profile in Watermark Faculty Success
When you manually enter information into your faculty profile, it is linked to your Faculty Activity Report (FAR) in Faculty Success and will be updated whenever you make a revision to the corresponding section of your FAR. Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Text Editor The Faculty Success text editor provides the following formatting styles: bold, italics, underline, superscript, and subscript. To add any of the available styles from the menu box, highlight the text and then click on the preferred style to apply it. Add and Edit your Information Step 1: Under the Personal Profile section in Watermark Faculty Success, select Faculty Profile. Step 2: Enter or edit the corresponding information in each section. Then, select Save. Please note: Fields that are left empty will not appear on the profile. Publish Your Faculty Profile in Watermark Faculty Success
This guide will show you how to publish your faculty profile in Faculty Success, which will then update your Stevens faculty page. Publishing your profile will activate the link on the Stevens faculty listing webpage. Step 1: Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Step 2: Under the Personal Profile section in Watermark, select Faculty Profile. Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page. Select Yes on the "Publish your faculty profile" dropdown menu, then select Save. Please note: Your changes will not show up on the website immediately; faculty profiles refresh daily. Change Your Faculty Profile Photo in Workday
All Stevens faculty members will see a photo in their profiles drawn from their Workday records. The default photo used will come from the Campus Card database (i.e., the photo that appears on your Stevens ID card). If you wish to change the photo on your profile, make sure you have a suitable, high-resolution photo of yourself on your computer. Step 1: Log in to Workday using your myStevens credentials. You can access the Workday application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Step 2: From the Workday landing page, find your photo on the top right of the page and select it. Select View Profile. Step 3: Once you’re in your profile, select Actions. You will see a menu pop up. Find Personal Data in the menu and hover over it. Then select Change My Photo. Step 4: On the Change My Photo page, select or drag and drop your new photo into the specified area. A tool will pop up asking you to crop your image to fit inside the frame provided. Select OK, then select Submit. Note: Your photo will be routed to Human Resources for approval. Once approved, your personal photo will be updated on Workday and on your faculty profile. Add and Edit Your Service and Professional Society Information In Watermark Faculty Success
This guide details how to access the Faculty Success system to add new or edit existing service and professional society entries in a faculty member's Faculty Profile. Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. University/Institutional Service Step 1: Under the Service section, choose University service to add or edit institutional service or Professional service to add or edit professional service. Step 2: To add a service, select Add New Item. To edit an existing service, select it from the list. Step 3: Enter the professional society’s information and select Save when you have completed the entry. If you wish to add an additional entry, select Save + Add Another. Note: If you do not want this information displayed on your faculty profile, select “No” on the first drop-down. Professional Societies Step 1: Under the Research, Scholarship, Innovation and Entrepreneurship section, select Professional societies. Step 2: To add a new society, select Add New Item. To edit an existing society, select it from the list. Step 3: Enter the professional society’s information and select Save when you have completed the entry. How to Import Publications into Your Faculty Profile in Watermark Faculty Success
This guide details how to import and add new publications to the Publications and books list in a faculty profile. Step 1: Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Step 2: Under the Research, Scholarship, Innovation and Entrepreneurship section, select Publications and books. Step 3: To add a new publication, select Add New Item. To edit an existing publication, select it from the list. Step 4: Enter the required information and select Save. Step 5: To import publications, select Import. Publications can be imported as a BibTex file from other databases, or from third party online services like Scopus, Crossref and PubMed. Add Publications from a Text File to Your Faculty Profile in Watermark Faculty Success
This guide details how to bulk add a list of publications from a text file into the Publications text field in a faculty profile. Step 1: Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Step 2: Under the Personal Profile section in Watermark, select Faculty Profile. Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the Publications box. Copy the entire publications list from your file and paste it in the box. Please note: Some formatting and line breaks will be required. Step 4: Select "Yes" on the Hide faculty activity report publications dropdown menu, then select Save. Running Reports in Watermark Faculty Success
This guide shows faculty members how to run detailed and rapid reports in Watermark Faculty Success. Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this url: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Select Faculty Success if applicable. If you do not have access to multiple Watermark platforms, the system will take you directly to the Faculty Success landing page. Running Reports To run a report, select Reports from the Top Navigation Menu. Once on the Reports screen, select the report you wish to run from the list, e.g., “Annual Faculty Activity Report.” Select the Start Date and End Date range for the information included in the report. Select the File Format from the dropdown menu. Available File format options include Microsoft Word, PDF, and Web page (.html). Click on the Run Report button on the top right to download the report. Please note that Watermark will warn you if you attempt to create a report with an end date before the report’s start date. For example, to select the AY 2023-24 Annual faculty activity report, you will set start date to “July 01, 2023” and end date will be “June 30, 2024”. Rapid Reports While you are managing your activities, you may want to see how a change looks in a report. The Rapid Reports feature provides a way to run reports quickly and easily on the data in the system, including your Faculty Activity Report. Select the Activities tab at the top of the page, then click on the Rapid Reports button in top right corner of the screen. Use the Report dropdown menu to select the report you want to run. Add the start and end date for the report. Use the File Format dropdown menu to select the file type for the generated report. Click on the Run Report button. Adding, Editing, and Deleting Records in the Activities Screen in Watermark Faculty Success
This guide shows faculty how to add, edit, delete and duplicate their records in the sections of the Activities screen in Watermark Faculty Success. Log into Watermark Faculty Activity Portal at this URL: http://stevens.edu/far/dm.php or select the Watermark Faculty Activity application on the myStevens landing page, https://my.stevens.edu. Select Faculty Success if applicable. If you do not have access to multiple Watermark platforms, the system will take you directly to the Faculty Success landing page. Activities The Activities module allows faculty to capture and manage teaching, research/creative activities, and service accomplishments. The Activities page includes links to each of the data collection sections in the system. To access a section, click on the name which takes you to a "Summary Screen" showing your current records. You can take multiple actions, e.g. adding a new record, deleting a record or duplicating a record, depending on the screen you are on. Adding a New Record In each screen you will need to add each record separately. Select the Add New button to enter a new activity. Duplicating Records To copy a record, select the check box on the right side of the record, and then select the Duplicate button. (You cannot copy from one screen to another.) Saving Records Select the Save button to save the data you entered and return to the previous screen. Select the Save + Add New button to save the data you entered and open another page to create an additional record. The Cancel button will return you to the Activities screen without saving the entered data. Deleting Records To delete a record, select the check box on the right side of the record, and then select the Trash Can button at the top. You will be prompted with a pop-up window verifying you want to delete the selected record(s).
