Cancel a Published Course Section in Workday
This guide walks a user through cancelling a published course section in Workday. Step 1: In the Workday global search bar, enter and select Cancel Course Section. Step 2: Select Course, Course Section, Academic Period, and Course Offering, then select OK. Step 3: Select the Reason, then select the Confirm Course Section Cancellation check box. If there are students already enrolled in the course, the following alert message appears. “Alert: Canceling this course section impacts student enrollments as listed in the Impacted Students grid. Verify that this is intentional before confirming the cancellation.” Step 4: Select OK. Step 5: Review Details and Process for more information on completed actions and next steps, then select Done. How to designate instructor eligibility in Workday. Designate Instructor Eligibility: Option 1 How to access the instructor eligibility function through your Workday Inbox. Step 1: Select your Workday Inbox in the upper right corner of the Workday Today Homepage. Step 2: Select Actions, then select the Designate Instructor Eligibility for Add Academic Appointment inbox item. Step 3: Enter the Course Subject only that the instructor is eligible to teach. Step 4: Select Submit Designate Instructor Eligibility: Option 2 How to access the instructor eligibility function through the Workday global search bar. Quick Search: Designate Instructor Eligibility Step 1: Search Designate Instructor Eligibility in the Workday search bar. Step 2: Enter the Instructor’s name in the Academic Appointee field. Step 3: Select the Effective Date box and enter the date information. If you are unable to set the effective date to an earlier date, you will need to contact Human Resources to override the Track Start of the appointment to coincide with the semester date. Step 4: Select OK. Step 5: Select the Add icon to add multiple eligible course subjects for the instructor. Step 6: Select Submit to complete the process. This article shows a user how to review and provide changes to Academic Plan Templates in Workday. Step 1: Search for a Program of Study in the Search bar by entering POS: followed by the program. Example - POS: Accounting and Analytics Step 2: While on the Program of Study page, select the Requirements tab, then select the Academic Plan Templates tab Step 3: Sorted by their respective Effective Date, select the Academic Plan Template Step 4 : Download the Academic Plan Template by clicking on the Excel icon and then clicking the Download button How to Provide Changes to Academic Plan Templates? Review the latest Academic Plan Template and provide the below based on that review. This user guide will walk a user through cancelling the Closed Course Section request in Workday.
