How to Send a Fax Using eFax
This article will walk you through sending a secure fax transmission on your laptop or mobile device, using the eFax Corporate cloud faxing service and your email account.
Step 1: Log into your Stevens email to begin e-faxing. Stevens faculty and staff can also login through the eFax Corporate Message Center app on the MyStevens Dashboard.
Step 2: Compose a new email message. In the "To" field of your email message, type the intended fax number and "@efaxsendsecure.com" just like you are typing a standard email address.
When faxing to U.S. and CANADA, always include the calling code "1" at the beginning in a continuous string with no spaces or dashes.
For example, if you are sending a fax to a number to Los Angeles, 323-555-1212, you would enter: 13235551212@efaxsendsecure.com. (Note the "1" right before the area code and phone number.)
When faxing international numbers, do not include any local or international dialing codes (e.g; 0, 011, 001)
For example, if sending a fax to the UK +44 207 555 1212 You would enter: 442075551212@eFaxsendsecure.com.
You can send a fax to multiple recipients by separating the fax numbers with a semicolon: ; .
Step 3: Enter a title to the subject field of your email.
Step 4: Add text in the body of your email as you would on the cover sheet of a fax transmission.
Step 5: Attach the documents you want to fax just as you would attach files to an email.
You can fax up to four documents in one email. They will be faxed in the order they were attached. eFax supports most file type attachments including, but not limited to, DOC, PDF, TXT, TIF, JPG, XLS and HTML. eFax does not support password protected files.
Step 6: Click Send in your email client just as you would a regular email.
How will the recipient receive your eFax transmission?
The recipient will receive an email in their inbox from eFax corporate that includes a PDF attachment of your e-fax transmission. The PDF will include an eFax corporate cover sheet as its first page, followed by the files that you attached to your email.
Recipients can also retrieve e-fax transmissions online through the eFax Corporate Message Center app on their MyStevens dashboard or by installing the eFax Corporate mobile app.
