Manage My Privacy Settings in Workday
This guide walks a student through managing their privacy settings in Workday.
Quick Search: Manage My Privacy Settings
This task requires a decision about inclusion in the Public Student Directory.
Inclusion in the Directory
Inclusion permits Stevens to share items you select with interested third parties without your explicit permission when it is reasonable to do so. It allows for public recognition in the commencement program, on the semester-based Dean's List, and permits routine attendance verification by third parties, such as potential employers, without an explicit single-use authorization.
Exclusion in the Directory
Exclusion marks your records as Private and will require your authorization for every disclosure.
Visit the Office of the Registrar if you have questions or concerns or need additional information about access to your records by anyone other than Stevens faculty and staff members.
Step 1: Open the Global Navigation menu on the left side of the Workday Today homepage. Select Academics in the Apps section on the Workday homepage
Step 2: Select Change My Privacy Settings in the General Help section.
Step 3: Select whether you would like to be included or excluded from the directory.
Under the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, you have the right to withhold the release of any or all “directory information." Please consider very carefully your decision to withhold any item of directory information. Should you decide not to release any or all directory information, future requests for this information from individuals or entities not affiliated with this institution, will be refused.
If you select to be included in the Public Student Directory, your Legal Name, Photo, Institution, and Social Media links will always be public by default.
If you selected “I want my directory information to be public (recommended)” follow these steps.
Step 1: Select OK
Step 2: Review Directory Data Values – Select Done
If you selected “I do not want my directory information to be public”, follow these steps.
Step 1: Select OK
Step 2: Select Done
