Change a Primary Program of Study in Workday

This article shows the user how to Change a Primary Program of Study in Workday


Step 1: Enter a student’s name in the search bar on the Workday homepage and select the student’s profile

 

Note: If the student is also a student worker, remember to select their student profile.

Step 2: Select Academics on the student’s profile

Step 3: Select Request for the program of study you want to make the primary program of study on the Overview tab – Select Make Primary Program of Study

For each program of study listed, the table shows whether it is a bunded program of study, the declare date, expected completion date, status and whether it is a primary program of study. There is a gray request button after the primary column for the student's computer science undergraduate row and software engineering undergraduate major row. There is a blue add program of study button and a blue add advisory program button at the bottom of the page.


Step 4: Select Confirm

The proposed declaration date is followed by direction to confirm that you want to change Attila the Duck's primary program of study from computer science undergraduate major to software engineering undergraduate major. There is a confirm check box underneath to select. There is a red asterisk to the right of the word confirm to indicate it is a required field.


Step 5: Select OK

Step 6: Review Details and Process for completed actions and next steps – Select Done

 

Note: The process will route to a faculty advisor for approval.
