Registration Troubleshooting Console in Workday

Faculty and staff can use the following guide to troubleshoot and resolve registration-related issues. You can either view the registration troubleshooting console for a student or a program of study.


Registration Troubleshooting Console


Step 1: Search Registration Troubleshooting Console – Select Registration Troubleshooting Console

Student Registration Troubleshooting Console


Note: Refer to Step 1 above in Registration Troubleshooting Console.


Step 2: Select Student

Note: Start typing a student’s name to select from the available results or type a student’s full name.

Step 3: Select Optional Criteria to help refine the search.

Note: When you select more Optional Criteria fields, more specific registration troubleshooting information becomes available.



Step 4: Select OK.

Step 5: Review the Summary tab for general registration troubleshooting information – Select hyperlinked text such as the hold number to view more information.

Review the Enrollment Access tab for enrollment access troubleshooting information.

Review the Appointments and Date Controls tab for enrollment access troubleshooting information.

Review the Course Eligibility tab for enrollment access troubleshooting information.

Fields include access to course, eligible for course, course eligibility rule, published sections for course and preliminary/hold/canceled sections for course. The access to course field shows yes, the eligible for course field shows yes, the course eligibility rule is CS 115 or CS 181 or ENGR 115, the published sections for course is 0 and the preliminary/hold/canceled sections for course is 0.

Note: Refer to Step 1 above in Registration Troubleshooting Console. 


Step 2: Select Program of Study

Note: You can start typing a program of study or select from the available navigation options.

Step 3: Select Optional Criteria to help refine the search.

Step 4: Select OK.

Step 5: Review the Summary tab for general registration troubleshooting information.

Review the Course Eligibility tab for course eligibility troubleshooting information.

Understanding Registration Troubleshooting and Restriction Fields


Review the Course table for registration troubleshooting and restrictions definitions.
